Quiet Echo
Written by Antonio De Villar
There is a secret place I wander,
A world that opened to me
Only after your name
Became a quiet echo in my chest.
It is a place too beautiful for maps—
A realm woven from nature’s breath,
Perfumed with blossoms,
Draped in the soft hum of the earth.
A boundless field lies there,
Sunlit and eternal,
Where the light itself bends gently
Whenever I think of you.
In that golden hush,
You are the only one who can reach me.
A great ancient tree rises in the center,
Its shade a cradle for my rest.
Beneath its branches,
Grief dissolves,
And even the wind whispers gently.
This place—
the one no compass can lead you to—
waits quietly for the moment
your footsteps find mine.
For its soil is not of earth,
But of feeling, memory, and longing.
It lives inside me,
At the quiet center of my heart.
