Show Me Love

Show Me Love
Written by Antonio De Villar

This was not the kind of accident
that leaves broken glass on the pavement.
It happened quietly
a slow collapse beneath our feet,
a house surrendering one beam at a time
while we called it home.

Tell me you have never felt fragile,
never carried your heart
like a cracked photograph
hidden between the pages of a book.
Tell me faith has never trembled
in your hands.

I stand before the ghosts of yesterday,
staring at the shape of what remains.
Your face survives in fading colors,
a memory refusing to disappear.
The distance grows longer each night,
and loneliness settles beside me
like an old companion.

Show me love.

Not the kind spoken carelessly
between departures and excuses,
but the kind that opens locked doors,
the kind that lifts a soul
from the cold floor of doubt.

Show me love.

Fill the empty rooms inside me.
Let it move through my veins,
through every scar and forgotten corner,
until I can no longer tell
where the hurt ends
and the healing begins.

The world continues its strange dance
random chances, careless collisions,
people passing through each other
without ever truly seeing.

Yet somehow, among all the noise,
among all the broken directions,
I still search for your voice.

Because some hearts never stop reaching.
Some wounds never stop asking.
And some prayers return each night
wearing the same familiar words:

Show me love.

Show me enough to believe again.
Show me enough to stay.
Show me enough to silence the emptiness.

Show me love

until there is nothing left to beg for,
and everything left to give.
